1 Introduction to NJ-series Controllers
Refer to the NJ/NX-series CPU Unit Software User's Manual (Cat. No. W501) for details on the net-
work configuration.
 Support Software
You can use the following Support Software to set up, monitor, and debug an NJ-series Controller.
Sysmac Studio
The Sysmac Studio is the main Support Software that you use for an NJ-series Controller. On it, you
can set up the Controller configurations, parameters, and programs, and you can debug and simu-
late operation.
Other Support Software
The following Support Software is also included in the Sysmac Studio Software Package Standard
Edition.
Configuration software

CX-Integrator
CX-Protocol
CX-Designer
*1 If the NJ/NX-series Controller is a target device, you may also use Sysmac Studio version 1.10 or higher.
Use the Network Configurator if a CS/CJ-series PLC operates as the originator device.

The Sysmac Studio is used for sequence control, motion control, and all other
operations except those described below.
The Network Configurator is used for tag data links on EtherNet/IP ports or
