Creating a model

NOTICE
KwikkModel as modeling compound
The following instructions are based on the use of KwikkModel
modeling compound. KwikkModel is a registered trademark of the R-
dental Dentalerzeugnisse GmbH.
✔ An impression with alginate, hydrocolloid or polyether is made (see
operating instructions for casting materials).
1. Fill the impression with the modeling compound (see operating
instructions for modeling compound).
NOTICE
Observe the position and insertion axis
The prepared tooth should lie as near the center of the model holder as
possible. Make sure the model holder is positioned vertically to the
insertion axis.
2. Within 10 seconds press the model holder on the compound.
3. Let the compound harden for about 2 minutes.
4. Remove the model holder with the model from the form.
NOTICE
Using polyether, let the model cure for about two minutes (see also the
operating instructions for the modeling compound).
5. With a scalpel cut away the areas unnecessary for the scanning process.
