Disengage
the
piston
(2).
Remove
the
retaining
plate
(3)
of
the
valve
ball
(4).
Do
not
mislay
the
shim
or
shims
(1)
found
under
the
plate.
Withdraw
the
ball.
Remove
the
bleed-screw
(5)
and
remove
the
ball
(6).
Remove
the
cap
(7).
Screw
the
retaining
spindle
(A)
in
the
threaded
bore
provided
for
the
union
of
the
connecting
pipe.
Hold
the
regulator
immobile,
if necessary
by
means
of
an
extension
on
the
spindle
(A),
braced
against
the
frame
of the
press.
Fit
the
spanner
(B)
on the
cap
and
keep
it
in
position
with
the
aid
of
the
press
(the
cap
is tightened
to
72 ft.lbs
(10
m.kg).
Undo
the
cap.
Considerable
force
is
exerted
on
the
latter
by
the
spring
(8).
Compensate
this
thrust
by
using
the
press..
While
unscrewing
the
cap
ease
off
the
press
in
order
to
avoid
any
strain
on
the
thread
(the
spanner
and
spindle
assembly
is
sold
under
No.
2224-T,
see
P1.87,
fig.2).
NOTE
-
This
measure
is
essential
to
avoid
stripping
the
last
few
threads.
Remove
the
adjusting
washers
(9),
the
spring
(8)
and
the
thrust
cup
(10)

Remove
the
cap
seal
(ll),
the
accumulator
gasket,
the
ring
seal

from
the
bleed
screw
and
the
ring
seal

the

parts

alcohol.

in
a jet
of
compressed
air.

the
body

a wooden

Place
a ball
