c. Power off the system.
d. Set UEPO to OFF.
e. Disengage all DCAs from the back plane.
f. Plug the LGA-ST Tester D-Shell into the Capacitor card 9-pin D-Shell and tighten the screws.
g. Place the toggle switch into the MCM/L3 PWR/GND position and observe the lit LEDs. Refer to the
following table for valid LED states:

Action
1. If Low Battery LED is
lit, or if no LEDs are lit,
replace the battery
before proceeding.
2. If the battery appears to
be functioning and the
LEDs are not lit as
shown in this table,
disengage the
Capacitor book from the
system. If the LED
states are not as shown
in this table after the
Capacitor book is
disengaged, the
LGA-ST is defective.
Replace the unit before
proceeding.
Action
1. If Low Battery LED is
lit, or if no LEDs are lit,
replace the battery
before proceeding.
2. If the battery appears to
be functioning and the
LEDs are not lit as
shown in this table,
disengage the
Capacitor book from the
system. If the LED
states are not as shown
in this table after the
Capacitor book is
disengaged, the
LGA-ST is defective.
Replace the unit before
proceeding.
