1. PTO CLUTCH

[1] STRUCTURE
As shown in the figure above, the PTO propeller
shaft 1 (3) is splined to the input shaft (2) and is always
rotating while the engine is running.
The PTO clutch pack (4) has three clutch discs (8),
three drive plates (9), a belleville washer (cupped spring
washer) (11) and one pressure plate (7). The clutch
piston (10) actuated by hydraulic from PTO clutch valve,
tightly presses the clutch discs (8) and drive plates (9)
toward the pressure plate (7).
As a result, the rotation of the PTO propeller shaft 1
(3) is transmitted to the PTO propeller shaft 2 (5) through
the PTO clutch pack (4).
The belleville washer (cupped spring washer) (11)
reduce the engaging shock. Thereby, the PTO clutch is
engaged very smoothly.
