Keyboard Test

In addition to the color calibration tests mentioned in Chapter 28, the ECDIS provides a keyboard test that the
operator may use to check the keyboard of the Control Unit RCU-018 and the hot keys of the Control Unit RCU-
015. (Other diagnostic tests are also provided, on the self-test menu, however these are intended for service
technicians. For further details, see the service manual.)
1. Spin the scrollwheel to show Menu/Info/Chart Menu in the mouse functions area, then push the left mouse
button.
2. Select Initial Settings and push the left mouse button.
3. Put the cursor on the triangle in the dialog box to show the Initial Settings menu.
4. Select Selftest then push the left mouse button. You are asked if it is OK to leave ECDIS and start the self-test.
5. Click the OK button to show the self-test menu. As the message on the screen says move the cursor leftward and
upward then push the left mouse button.
