Determine the positions of the media holders, and then secure them in place.
A
Determine the left and right positions of the media with the grit patterns used as the reference.
Note the following points when determining the positions.
• Hold the media holders from the outside and move the media.
• Ensure that both edges of the media are positioned so that they are within the range
of the grit patterns.
• Ensure that the left edge of the media is positioned so that it is within the range of
the grit pattern of the left edge.
• Ensure that the edge of the media is not within the range of 20 mm (0.79 in.) to the right
of the grit pattern of the left edge or 20 mm (0.79 in.) to the left of other grit patterns.
Grit pattern (Place the left edge of the media within this range.)
Leave a space of 20 mm
(0.79 in.) or more.
CAUTION
Important: Decide the left and right side positions of the media finally at this step.
After this procedure is completed, if the left and right side positions do not fit the proper positions when securing the
media with pinch rollers, you will have to go back to this step to redo this procedure. If you just hold the media to readjust
its position forcibly, the media will be skewed during printing, which will have an adverse effect on the printing results.
Grit pattern (Place the right edge of the media within this range.)
Leave a space of 20 mm (0.79 in.)
or more.
Do not hold places other than those instructed. Do not move the media
by holding it directly.
Otherwise the media may fall off the media holder and cause injury.
