Setting
Displays the setting of a password (setup password) that is used for security of
BIOS setup.
• Not Installed: A password has not been set.
• Installed: A password has been set.
Displays the setting of a password (system password) that is used for security of
system startup.
• Not Installed: A password has not been set.
• Installed: A password has been set.
Sets a setup password. Once the password is set, password entry is required when
BIOS Setup Utility is started up.
Press the [Enter] key to display the password entry window. Enter the setup
password. For more details, refer to "9.4.2 Security against Unauthorized Use"
( pg.190).

Sets a system password. Once the password is set, password entry is required when
BIOS Setup Utility is started up.
This password can be set when [Setup Password] has been set.

Description
Keyboard can be locked while an expansion card is
initialized. When the expansion card that can
execute the setup during system startup is installed,
the setting of the expansion card can be protected
by locking the keyboard.
You can set this item only when [Setup Password]
has been set.
