Reseat the cable J9 on the SHPF controller board.

If applicable, reseat the junction connectors on the cable.

Make sure that the cable is not in the path of moving parts.
d
Check the cable for damage, and replace if necessary.
Does the problem remain?
Step 4

Make sure that the sensor is properly installed.
b
Make sure that the sensor is free of debris or dust.
c
Reseat the cable on the sensor. Check the cable for damage, and
replace if necessary.
d
Check the sensor for damage.
Is the sensor free of damage?
Step 5
Replace the sensor.
Does the problem remain?
Step 6
a
Remove the top inner and rear covers.
b
Test the following motors:
• Motor (SHPF feed)
• Motor (SHPF transport)
•
Motor (SHPF compiler feed roller release)
Enter the Diagnostics menu, and then navigate to:
Motor Tests > Staple and Hole Punch Finisher Motor Tests
c
Check if the belts, gears, and rollers are moving properly.
Are they moving properly?
Step 7
a
Reseat the cable on the motors.
b
Make sure that the motors are properly installed.
c
Check the motors and cables for damage, and replace if necessary.

Yes
