14.2.1 Add Exceptional Services

This screen allows you to manage exceptions to captive portal interception. Click the Add button in
the Exceptional Services table on the Captive Portal screen to access this screen.
Note: If you want 802.1x to work properly, you must set BOOTP_Client and DNS as
exceptional services.

Chapter 14 Captive Portal
DESCRIPTION
This indicates the priority of a policy.
Priority values are unique to each policy. If you want to adjust the priority, use the Move
button.
This indicates the source IP address to be monitored by the policy.
All traffic from the source IP has the policy applied to it.
This indicates the destination IP address to be monitored by the policy.
All traffic going to the destination IP has the policy applied to it.
This indicates which Schedule objects (if any) is applied to the policy. A schedule object
allows you to configure which times the rule is in effect.
This indicates whether authentication is required for the policy.
This displays the description of the policy. It has no intrinsic value to the system.
Click Apply to save your changes back to the NXC.
Click Reset to return the screen to its last-saved settings.
