Procedure
Step 1.
Make preparation for this task.
a.
Remove all the power supply units. See

Remove the top cover. See
c.
If applicable, remove all the internal drives. See

If applicable, remove the internal drive backplane. See

If applicable, remove internal drive cage. See

Remove the M.2 air baffle. See
g.
If applicable, remove the M.2 backplane assembly. See

Disconnect all the cables from the front drive backplane.

Place PCIe riser 2.

2. If applicable, disengage the silver signal cable of PCIe riser 2 from cable clips.
3. Place PCIe riser 2 to the left hand side, away from the power distribution board.
Note: If necessary, remove the RAID flash power module holder for easier operation. See
the RAID flash power module holder" on page
Step 2.
Disconnect all the cables from the power distribution board.
Note: When disconnecting cables, make a list of each cable and record the connectors the cable
is connected to, and use the record as a cabling checklist after installing the power distribution
board.
Step 3.
Loosen the six screws that secure the power distribution board; then, remove the power
distribution board from the PDB cage.
