Install the OCP module
Follow the instructions in this section to install the OCP module.
About this task
Attention:
• Read
"Installation Guidelines" on page 39

• Prevent exposure to static electricity, which might lead to system halt and loss of data, by keeping static-
sensitive components in their static-protective packages until installation, and handling these devices with
an electrostatic-discharge wrist strap or other grounding system.
• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Firmware and driver download: You might need to update the firmware or driver after replacing a
component.

Procedure
Step 1.
If an OCP filler is installed in the slot, remove the filler.
a.
Disengage one side of the filler from of the slot. Use a flat-head screwdriver if necessary.
b.
Remove the filler from of the slot.

Step 2.
Install the OCP module.
a.
Slide the OCP module into the slot until it is fully seated.
b.
Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the OCP module. Use a screwdriver if necessary.
