Unpack the Powerware Hot Sync CAN Bridge Card and verify that the card was
not damaged during shipment (see Figure 59).

If there is a Jumper J7 on the Powerware Hot Sync CAN Bridge Card, remove
and discard (see Figure 68 on page 84).
NOTE Eaton recommends installing the Powerware Hot Sync CAN Bridge Card in X-Slot Communication
Bay 2 (see Figure 58 on page 71), leaving Communication Bay 1 available for other types of X-Slot cards.
6.
Remove the X-Slot communication bay cover on the UPS and retain the screws.
7.
Loosely install the Powerware Hot Sync CAN Bridge Card into the open X-Slot
communication bay on the UPS rear panel.
8.
Repeat Steps 4 through 7 to install a CAN Bridge Card in each UPS to be
paralleled.
