2. Remove the outer plastic wrap and foam blocks.
3. Five and six UPS systems only. Cut the battery carton straps (see Figure 4).

4. Five and six UPS systems only. Remove the battery cartons from the pallet
(see Figure 4). Retain the batteries to install in the top two UPS cabinets after the
system is moved to the final location (described in "Installing the UPS Internal
Batteries" on page 30).
5. Hold the ramp in place and cut the strap that binds it to the system.
If not held in place when the strap is cut, the ramp can fall and cause injury.
