• Helmet attachment version:
Ensure the earmuffs are in work mode position (see
figure 5:G) and that the cushions are not compressed.

• Use the local recycling system for electronic equipment.

11. MAINTENANCE

11.1. TO CLEAN THE PRODUCT
• Use a cloth wetted with soap and warm water to clean the
ear cups, headband and ear cushions.
CAUTION: Do NOT immerse the hearing protector in
water.
• If the hearing protector becomes wet, turn the earmuffs
outwards, remove the ear cushions and foam liners, and
allow to dry before reassembly. Refer to TO REMOVE
AND REPLACE THE EAR CUSHIONS.
• Examine the ear cushions and foam liners regularly for
damages. A damaged ear cushion must be replaced.
Refer to ACCESSORIES.
• Replace the foam liners and ear cushions minimum twice
a year.
11.2. TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE EAR
CUSHIONS
1. Hold the inner edge of the ear cushion and pull it straight
out. (Fig. 7:A)
2. Remove the old ear cushion and put the new ear cushion
in the ear cup. (Fig. 7:B)
3. Push the ear cushion into place. (Fig. 7:E)
CAUTION: Make sure that the cushion cover is not pinched
between the ear cup and the ear cushion. (Fig. 7:F)
11.3. TO REMOVE AND REPLACE FOAM LINERS
1. Remove the ear cushions.
2. Remove the foam liners. (Fig. 7:C)
3. Put the foam liner into the ear cup according to the
illustration. (Fig. 7:D)
4. Attach the ear cushions.
11.4. TO REPLACE THE HARD HAT ADAPTER
The correct hard hat adapters are shown in Table E.
1. Remove the screws on the hard hat attachment. (Fig. 7:G)
2. Remove the hard hat adapter.
3. Attach the new hard hat adapter according to the
instructions on the packaging.
12. ACCESSORIES
NOTE: The accessories listed below are for Non-Intrinsic
Safety products. For approved spare parts and accessories
for Intrinsic Safety products, refer to separate Safety Guide
included in the packaging of the product.

13. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF
NOTE: The following statements do not apply in Australia and
New Zealand. Consumers should rely on their statutory rights.
13.1. WARRANTY
In the event any 3M Personal Safety Division product is found
to be defective in material, workmanship, or not in conformity
with any express warranty for a specific purpose, 3M's only
obligation and your exclusive remedy shall be at 3M's option,
to repair, replace or refund the purchase price of such parts
or products upon timely notification of the issue by you and
substantiation that the product has been stored, maintained
and used in accordance with 3M's written instructions.
EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY
IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF ANY EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS
OR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHER WARRANTY OF
QUALITY, OR THOSE ARISING FROM A COURSE OF
DEALING, CUSTOM OR USAGE OF TRADE, EXCEPT OF
TITLE AND AGAINST PATENT INFRINGEMENT.
3M has no obligation under this warranty with respect to any
product that has failed due to inadequate or improper
storage, handling, or maintenance; failure to follow product
instructions; or alteration or damage to the product caused
by accident, neglect, or misuse.
13.2. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT
SHALL 3M BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT,
SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR
DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS) ARISING FROM
THIS PRODUCT, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY
ASSERTED. THE REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE
EXCLUSIVE.
13.3. NO MODIFICATION
Modifications to this device shall not be made without the
written consent of 3M Company. Unauthorized modifications
may void the warranty and the user's authority to operate the
device.
