Installing the PCX Digital UNIX Driver

The Digital UNIX driver kit for your DOME Md4/PCX
board ships on the installation diskette. To install this kit
onto your Digital Alpha UNIX system, you must have root
(superuser) access privileges.
The commands you must type are marked in the sample
code below with a leading # (pound sign), the standard
superuser shell prompt.

To install the driver

1. Insert the kit diskette into the disk drive.
You must mount a file system on an empty directory.
Many systems have a
directory for mounting temporary file systems.
2. If you do not have a
one with these commands:
# cd /
# mkdir mnt
# chmod 755 /mnt
To mount the diskette, you need to know the device
name of your diskette drive. On most systems, this
name is
