Listing a Routability Group

A Routability Group defines a grouping of locations that have unobscured
routability between each other. All media endpoints have an associated location.
This association provides a common frame of reference with which to describe the
service topology and how components relate to each other (for example,
proximity and unobstructed routability).

The Select Domain page provides a list of all domains in the system. Each
entry in the list also provides an indication of how many Locations in that
particular Domain are already members of this Routability Group (in
parenthesis). Actions performed on this page are

To select a Domain, scan the list for the Domains containing Locations
that are to be placed in this Routability Group.
b Click Next to view or select Locations from within that Domain. Clicking
Next moves the process into its next stage (selection of Locations into the
Routability Group).

Click Cancel to exit the Create Routability Group page return to the List
Routability Groups page.
The next stage of defining a Routability Group involves selecting specific
Locations from within the selected Domains Location Hierarchy. These
Locations are selected based upon their ability to route and direct unobscured
to each other. Actions performed on this page are

To select a location, scan the Location Hierarchy for this Domain for
Locations that are to be placed in this Routability Group.
b After the Locations of interest in this Domain are selected, do one of the
following:
— Click Save to repeat this process and return to the Select Domain
page where other Domains/Locations can be added to the Routability
Group
— Click Save or Done to complete the creation of this Routability
Group (and display the List Routability Groups page).

Click Cancel to exit the Select Locations page. Clicking Cancel
abandons the current selections (but does affect previously saved
selections), and the List Routability Groups page appears.
