Configuring CDP and UDP dialing plans
This section provides information about coordinated dialing plans (CDP) and
universal dialing plans (UDP) and how to perform provision to support the plans.
Coordinated Dialing Plans
Coordinated Dialing Plans enable a service provider with a number of local PBXs
to coordinate the dialing plan for stations at these switches. When implemented,
CDP allows a station at one switch to call a station at another switch without
utilizing a unique number and without access codes. For example, SIP clients can
dial PBX stations using the numbering plan that is already familiar to the user.
Universal Dialing Plans
Universal Dialing Plans enable a customer with a network of PBXs to
communicate with a private dialing plan in which each PBX has its own site code.
Note: Telephony routing enables end users to configure their dial plans
and to configure Virtual Private Networks (VPN). You must have
telephony- routing and domain-management provisioning rights to
perform the tasks in this section.
