To assign services to a domain
1
Select Services > Assign Services.
The Assign Services pane appears.
2
Select a domain from the domain drop down list and click Continue.
3
Select the services and service parameter values you want to assign to the
selected domain or multiple domains. (Use the Ctrl-click key to choose
multiple domains.) To enable all services, select the Choose all Services
check box.
4
Click Save.
If license keyed services were assigned while assigning services to a domain,
the Assign Resources to Domain window appears.
A resource is a service and anything that the provisioning manager enforces a
count on using the license key. Because services and service packages are
assigned to users, the number of such users having any such license-keyed
service or nonservice can be considered limited and therefore, is considered a
resource. The following services are considered assigned resources:
— Advanced Screening
— Network Call Logging
— Presence
— Wireless Client
5
Assign the required number of units of the resources.
If the service is tagged as a resource, for example, a limit exists on the number
of units of the service that can be assigned to the domain.
6
Click Save.
The units requested are validated against the remaining units for that resource
in the system and are saved if the validation passes.
If for some reason you need to go back and change some options in the list of
resources chosen, click Cancel to return to the Assigned Services window.
When services are defined and assigned to domains, you can list all the services
that are available for a domain (or multiple domains) and create and assign
packages accordingly. For a subdomain, services are assigned from the root
domain.
