Before you add a converged desktop user to a domain or subdomain, you must
create a service package and assign it to the domain or subdomain. Using the
following table, create a service package that contains the listed services
(including the Converged Desktop service) for a converged desktop user.
Interaction with Converged Desktop Service
Service
Ad Hoc
Not applicable—Subscribers cannot invoke MCS Conferencing, but you can include

the CD call into an MCS conference call when Converged.
Advance Address
Applicable—This service is used by the Converged client to save other subscribers'
book
calling information. You can use the address book to originate calls.
Advanced
Applicable—This provides the advanced routing and screening capabilities from the
Screening
MCS Personal Agent. Assigning this service to the subscriber gives the subscriber
complex call capabilities.
Assistant Console Not applicable—Not used by CD users
Assistant Support
Not applicable—Not used by CD users
Call Park
Not applicable—CD users cannot park or retrieve calls while converged, but
administrators can park the call from a CD user
Calling Line ID
Partially applicable—This service is applied when using click-to-call in the "Converged
Restriction
Mode" or using another MCS client for origination of calls from the MCS system. If
Calling line restriction is required from a TDM phone then this service needs to be
provisioned on the TDM switch providing the service to the phone.
Converged
Applicable—Configured to the following for CD service:
Desktop
Setup: Converged Desktop
Converged Desktop: Enabled
Device Access
Partially applicable—Not used by CD users unless the CD user logs on to an IP Phone.
Restrictions
This service restricts services to the IP Phone device based on the service package.
IM Chatroom
Applicable—can be assigned to a CD user to access conferencing bridge and MCS
chat room.
Meet Me
conferencing
Music On Hold
Not applicable—not fully supported.
Network Call Logs Applicable—logs all calls either in the simplex and complex call scenarios
Presence
Applicable—presence of a CD user is based on the CD Client registration. If the CD
Client is not registered, presence of the CD user is not updated.
