NN42020-105 MCS 5100 Release 4.0 Standard 01.06 November 2007
When the Converged Desktop service is assigned to a
service package, the subscriber can start the Multimedia
PC Client in Converged Desktop mode, which basically
disables the voice and video functionality of the Multimedia
PC Client. Therefore, when running as a Converged
Desktop, the Multimedia PC Client does not support Ad
hoc conferencing, Meet Me conferencing, QOS, and Video
services.
When running as a Converged Desktop, the Multimedia
PC Client continues to support Presence (from the
Converged Desktop PC Client perspective), but Auto
Presence is not supported for the Converged Desktop
subscriber from the Converged Desktop PC Client.
When the Converged Desktop service and the Advanced
Screening service are assigned to a service package, then
the Route Wizard lets the user define a route action that
does display a call window on the Multimedia PC Client
(through the Do not pop up a call window). Also, the
Personal Agent does not permit the Converged Desktop
subscriber to define route actions that handle the call with
a Request an Email or a Rejection Message.
This service is used by the converged client to save other
calling information. You can use the address book to
originate calls.
When the Hotline Service is assigned to a service
package, the Device Access Restrictions Service must
also be assigned to the service package, and the
Restriction Access parameter must be configured to
Restricted Access.
The IM Chatroom service is dependent upon the Instant
Messaging service. Users can access a chatroom only if
the Instant Messaging service is enabled in their service
package.
