Reloading non-volatile SIMOTION data
SIMOTION data backed up on the CompactFlash card with _savePersistentMemoryData is
reloaded in the following scenarios:
1. After a module replacement, see Section Module replacement (Page 103)
2. After a memory reset, See Section SIMOTION D4x5-2 memory reset (Page 285)
3. Via switch position, see Section Deleting/restoring non-volatile SIMOTION data
If you want to restore data backed up via the switch / button / IT DIAG, you may have to
delete existing PMEMORY.XML and PMEMORY.BAK backup files in the \USER\SIMOTION\
directory on the CompactFlash card. See also Section Deleting/restoring non-volatile
SIMOTION data (Page 368).
Backing up / reloading non-volatile SINAMICS data
Requirement: As of SIMOTION V4.3 / SINAMICS V4.5
For the SINAMICS Integrated, CX32-2 and SINAMICS S120 CU310-2/CU320-2, as of
SINAMICS FW version V4.5, the non-volatile SINAMICS data (NVRAM data) is backed up
by setting the CU parameter p7775 to 1.
The reloading
● Is performed automatically in the event of a module replacement
● Can be performed manually
For more information, see Section Backing up / restoring /deleting SINAMICS NVRAM data
(Page 217).
Power failure
With a power failure, the real-time clock is backed up by an internal SuperCap and, if
available, a battery in the fan/battery module.
The non-volatile data is backed up on the D4x5-2 permanently and maintenance-free in an
NVRAM. In this way, the Control Unit is immediately ready for operation without data loss
after a power failure.
