The Safety Integrated functions are completely integrated into the drive system. They can be
activated as follows:

Although SIMOTION does not contain any safety-related functionality, it provides support for
SINAMICS drives that can perform safety-related functions.
The purpose of this support that SIMOTION provides, depending on the activated the safety-
related monitoring functions, is to prevent fault reactions at the drive end by ensuring that the
drive does not exit the monitored operating state.
