Description
This parameter group controls access on incoming calls from this remote node.
This group is used only if Call Direction is set to Incoming or Both.
In this field, enter the Login Name that this remote node uses when it calls your
router. The Login Name in this field combined with the Login Password is used
to authenticate the incoming calls from this node.
In this field, enter the Password used when this remote node calls your router.
Enter the telephone number of the remote node. If you have selected the CLID
Enable field in the Dial-in tab, the router checks this number against the CLID
presented with the incoming call. If the incoming caller's number does not match,
the router rejects the call. This field is active only if Call Direction is set to either
Both or Incoming. You must request CLID from the telephone company for your
ISDN line in order for this feature to work.
Use this check box to set whether the router calls back after receiving a call from
this remote node. If callback is enabled, the router disconnects the initial call
from this remote node and calls it back at the Outgoing Primary Dial Number
(see page 5-17). Callback is only available if Call Direction is set to Both.
Use these radio buttons and the text box to configure how long the router
maintains an idle connection. Your options are:
• Never—The router dials this remote node automatically upon bootup and does
not drop the call. If the call is dropped by the far end, the router immediately
redials.
• Yes—The router drops the connection after the number of seconds specified in
the text box.
Check this box to prevent Windows NetBIOS name service traffic from causing
the router to place ISDN phone calls. Specifically, it filters TCP and UDP packets
to the three NetBIOS Name Service ports, ports 137 through 139. The filter is
applied as a Call Filter, meaning it is be used to determine whether or not a call is
placed.
