Reading the Current Configuration

After you have started FirstGear, the program accesses the router and reads the current
configuration.
To continue:
If the router's currently assigned password is anything other than the factory default
1.
password (1234), enter the password in the password field.
If the current password is the default password, no action is required.
Press [Return].
2.
FirstGear reads the configuration of the router and displays the FirstGear Main Menu.

Using the Manager Interface Configuration Method

Turning On Power to the Router

When you turn on power to the router, it performs several internal tests and initializes your ISDN
line. If a serial connection with the internal Manager interface is established during the
initialization, the start-up display appears, as shown in
