Field Description
Encapsulation Select CCP (Compression Control Protocol) for the PPP or MP link. Two options are
available in this field:
Standard PPP—Standard PPP options are used (default).
CISCO PPP—Cisco Systems PPP options are used.
Compression Enables the negotiation of data compression with the remote node router.
Bandwidth On Select the direction of the traffic you want to calculate in order to determine when to add
Demand or subtract a link. The default for this field is Transmit or Receive.

Always use one Only one channel is used when a packet triggers a call.

Add 2nd channel The router uses the second channel according to the Badwidth on demand calculation.

Add Threshold Sets the data rate threshold for adding the second channel. The router adds the second
channel when the data rate exceeds this value.
Add Persist Sets the number of seconds that traffic must be above the adding threshold before the
router adds the second channel. The default is 5 seconds.
Subtract Sets the data rate threshold for subtracting the second channel. The router drops the
Threshold second channel when the data rate falls below this value.
Subtract Persist Sets the number of seconds that traffic must be below the subtraction threshold before
the router drops the second channel. The default is 5 seconds.
