Call Transfer
Call Transfer lets you transfer an active call to a third party. To use this service, you must subscribe
to it from your telephone company.
To transfer an active call to a third party:
When you have an active call (Caller A), press and immediately release the flash hook

button on your telephone to put Caller A on hold and receive a dial tone.
Dial Caller B's phone number.

When you are ready to conference the two calls together, press the flash hook button and

immediately release it to establish a three-way conference call.
Hang up the phone. The ISDN network does an implicit transfer to directly connect

Caller A with Caller B.
To do a blind transfer:
When you have an active call (Caller A), press flash to immediately put the existing call

on hold and receive a dial tone.
Dial Caller B's phone number.
2.
Before Caller B picks up the call, you can transfer the call by pressing and immediately

releasing the flash hook button. The call is automatically transferred.
Call Forwarding
The Model RT338 router supports Call Forwarding Variable and can be done passively through the
Phone ports. Your telephone company provides you with the appropriate dial access codes to
activate or deactivate the Call Forwarding feature. In most cases dialing *72 activates the function
and dialing *73 disables it.
