Enter a primary phone number and a secondary phone number in the Pri(mary) Phone
3.
# and Sec(ondary) Phone # fields.
Both the primary and the secondary phone numbers refer to the number that the router dials to
connect to the ISP. The router calls your ISP using the primary phone number first. If the
primary phone number is busy or does not answer, the router calls the secondary phone
number if available.
Note: In some areas, you must dial an ISDN data call using 1+area code or you will
receive a 56K connection instead of a 64K connection. Check with your local telephone
company.
Enter your login name in the My Login Name field.
4.
Enter the login name given to you by your ISP.
Enter your password in the My Password field.
5.
Enter the password associated with the login name from your ISP.
Enter single-user account information in the Single User Account field.
6.
If your ISP account is for a single user, set this field to Yes. This setting enables NAT. If your
ISP assigns an IP address dynamically, leave IP Addr as 0.0.0.0. If your ISP assigns you a
single fixed permanent (static) IP address, enter it as IP Addr.
Enter the transfer rate in the Telco Options: Transfer Type field.
7.
When establishing a call in North America, your router specifies a data rate and the type of call
based on this field. The following three options are available for this field:
64K—The router places a 64 Kbps digital data call (default).
56K—The router places a 56 Kbps digital data call.
DOVBS—The router places a 56 Kbps data over voice bearer service (DOVBS) call.
Leased—The router is attached to a leased line.
If your router will be nailed up (connected online 24 hours a day) on a nonleased line, do not
select Leased. Select the appropriate option in this field and set "Nailed-Up Connection= Yes"
in Menu 11.1.
