To restore the configuration:
Establish a serial connection with the router.

Enter 6 to select Restore Configuration.

You are prompted to send the file using the XMODEM transfer function of your
terminal-emulation program.
The procedure for receiving or sending the configuration file varies depending on the type of
terminal software used to access the router.

Backing Up and Restoring the Configuration Using TFTP

To back up or restore the configuration file over the LAN, you must have both a Telnet program
and a TFTP program. Windows includes a Telnet program that can be accessed using the Start
button and Run menu. TFTP client programs are available through many software retailers and
shareware sites.
To back up or restore the configuration:
Establish a Telnet connection with the router.
