Cautions on installation
• Tightening torque of the mounting screws
Tighten mounting screws within the specified torque range.
Undertightening can cause the GOT to drop.
In addition, waterproof effect or oilproof effect may not be obtained.
Overtightening may damage the GOT or distort the panel, causing wrinkles on the surface of the display
section. The wrinkles may lower visibility and lead to an incorrect input to the touch panel.
Waterproof effect or oilproof effect may not be obtained because of distortion of the GOT or panel.
Specified torque range: 0.36 to 0.48 N·m
• Installation panel surface
Make sure that the panel surface is free from warpage, flaws and irregularities. Warpage, flaws and
irregularities may disable the waterproof effect.
Select proper panel thickness under consideration of the panel strength.
(For example, the panel strength may be insufficient depending on the panel material and dimensions even if
the panel thickness is acceptable.
Insufficient panel strength may cause warpage depending on the installation positions of the GOT and other
equipment.)
