Removing an HDD Module from an XRE200 External Routing Engine

XRE200 External Routing Engines support up to two hard disk drive (HDD) modules on the front panel.
The HDD modules are hot-insertable and hot-removable field-replaceable units (FRUs).
Ensure that you have the following parts and tools available to remove an HDD module:
Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 2
An antistatic bag or an antistatic mat
CAUTION:
Routing Engine. Removing both HDD modules when the external Routing Engine is
powered on can cause severe hardware issues.
To remove an HDD module from an external Routing Engine (see
1. Place the antistatic bag or the antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.
2. A powered-on XRE200 External Routing Engine always requires at least one operational HDD module.
If the switch is powered on, perform this procedure only if an operational HDD module is working in
the other HDD module slot. If you are removing the only operational HDD module, power off the
external Routing Engine. See
