To install and connect an XRE200 External Routing Engine:

Mounting an XRE200 External Routing Engine on Two Posts in a Rack or
Cabinet
You can mount an XRE200 Routing Engine on two posts of a 19-in. rack or cabinet by using the
mid-mounting brackets provided with the external Routing Engine. (The remainder of this topic uses "rack"
to mean "rack or cabinet.")
CAUTION:
You must mid-mount the external Routing Engine using this procedure if you do not
want to use the four post rack mount procedure.
You can mount the external Routing Engine on four posts of a four-post rack by using the mounting
brackets provided with the four-post rack-mount kit. See
