Table 6: LCD Panel Menu Options for the XRE200 External Routing Engine
Menu
Description
Idle
Line 1 of the Idle menu displays the member ID and the hostname of the XRE200 External Routing
Engine.
Line 2 of the Idle menu displays the Status LED modes of the network ports and the total number of
alarms in the XRE200 External Routing Engine.
Sample output from the LCD panel in Idle mode:

The Idle menu is not navigable. Press Up (↑) and Down (↓) to cycle to the Status and Maintenance
menus from the Idle menu.
Status
The Status menu provides the following status information::
Virtual Chassis port (VCP) status—Displays the status of each VCP: Up, Down, or Disabled.
Power supply status—Displays the status of each power supply in the XRE200 External Routing
Engine: OK, Failed, Absent.
Environment status—Displays the status of the following items:
Fans : OK, Failed, or Absent
Chassis temperature: OK, High, or Shutdown
Junos OS version status—Displays the Junos OS version running on the external Routing Engine:
EXIT STAT MENU?—Provides the option to leave the status menu. Press Enter ( ) to exit the Status
menu.
If you do not want users to use Status menu options, disable the entire menu or individual menu
options. See Configuring the LCD Panel on EX Series Switches (CLI Procedure).
