Menu Description
Maintenance The Maintenance menu has the following options:
SYSTEM HALT?—Choose one of the following:
Press Enter ( ) to halt the external Routing Engine.
NOTE:
Routing Engine is halted and a backup external Routing Engine is configured. If no backup external
Routing Engine is configured, the EX8200 Virtual Chassis goes down when the primary external
Routing Engine is halted.
Press Up (↑) and Down (↓) to go to another option in the Maintenance menu.
SYSTEM REBOOT?—Choose one of the following:
Press Enter ( ) to reboot the external Routing Engine. Press Enter ( ) again to confirm the reboot.
Press Up (↑) or Down (↓) to go to another option in the Maintenance menu.
LOAD RESCUE?—Choose one of the following:
Press Enter ( ) to roll back the configuration to the rescue configuration. Press Enter ( ) again
to confirm the rollback.
Press Up (↑) or Down (↓) to go to another option in the Maintenance menu.
REQUEST VC PORT?—Choose one of the following:
Press Enter ( ) to navigate to the VCP options. Choose one of the following:
SET VC PORT?—Set a link as a VCP.
DELETE VC PORT?—Disable a link that is currently configured as a VCP.
Press Up (↑) or Down (↓) to go to another option in the Maintenance menu.
FACTORY DEFAULT?—Choose one of the following:
Press Enter ( ) to restore the external Routing Engine to the factory default configuration. Press
Enter ( ) again to confirm the restoration. The LCD panel flashes a success or failure message
and returns to the Idle menu.
Press Up (↑) or Down (↓) to go to another option in the Maintenance menu.
ENTER EZSETUP?—This option is visible as an option in the LCD panel but it is not supported.
EXIT MAINT MENU?—Choose one of the following:
Press Enter ( ) to exit the Maintenance menu.
Press Up (↑) or Down (↓) to go to another option in the Maintenance menu.
If you do not want users to use Maintenance menu options, disable the entire menu or individual
menu options. See Configuring the LCD Panel on EX Series Switches (CLI Procedure).
