We recommend configuring all EX8200 Virtual Chassis with a redundant XRE200 External Routing Engine.
You must use two VCCI modules if your EX8200 Virtual Chassis has five or more member switches and
a redundant XRE200 External Routing Engine. You do not need to purchase a second VCCI module if your
EX8200 Virtual Chassis has four or less member switches.
VCCI modules are field-replaceable units (FRUs).

Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Module in an XRE200 External Routing Engine

The hard disk drive (HDD) module in an XRE200 External Routing Engine is a 160 GB module. The XRE200
External Routing Engine is shipped with two HDD modules, one in each HDD module slot on the front
panel of the external Routing Engine. See
