Gain Control

The GAIN control sets the analog input gain and is displayed as a knob and numerical
readout. It is adjustable via Touch and Spin. The displayed gain value is calculated by
adding the preamp gain and the pad value, if present, so the number shown is the actual
amount of gain applied to the input.
For Mic/Line inputs 1-48 the gain range is between 15 dB and 70 dB without the pad and
–8 dB and 47 dB with the –23 dB pad in. For stereo line inputs, there is 0 dB to 20 dB of
available gain (with no pad). In either case, the gain is adjustable in 1 dB increments. For
all other channels, this control has no function and is not present on the touchscreen.
The CLIP indicator indicates that the input preamp is within 1 dB of analog clipping.
Note: To reset the Gain on all channels at once to the minimum, hold CTRL+GAIN PAD Channel Assign but-
ton on the control surface. This also disables the pad on ALL channels.

Pad Button

The Pad button enables the Selected Channel's 23 dB pad ahead of the mic preampli-
fier. With the pad enabled, the mic inputs can handle line-level signals with ease. Only
Analog Inputs 1-48 have this function.
Note: To disable the pad on ALL channels at once, hold CTRL+GAIN PAD Channel Assign button on the
control surface. This also resets the Gain on all channels to the minimum.

Invert Button

The Invert button inverts the channel's polarity by 180 degrees when enabled.
Stereo channels 1-8 have two polarity buttons on the channel overview, one for each input to the stereo
channel.
Note: To disable the polarity invert on ALL channels at once, hold Ctrl+INV Channel Assign button on the
control surface.

Input Delay IN Button

The Input Delay IN button enables the channel's alignment delay, used to adjust the arrival
time of a source via the sound system to its acoustical origin. This delay is adjustable from
0-150 ms for input channels and 0-700 ms for output channels and is adjustable in 0.5 ms
steps using Touch and Spin.
Note: To disable the input delay on ALL channels at once, hold Ctrl+DELAY Channel As-
sign button on the control surface.
