EAW UMX.96 Owner's Manual
Note: You can give channels your own names. Do this via Setup>Naming.
The Channel Select screen lets you access the following inputs, outputs, VCAs or banks:
• Analog Inputs 1-48
• Expansion inputs 49-96 (only when expansion chassis is present)
• Aux/Group Buses 1-24
• Stereo Inputs 1-8
• Internal FX 1-4
• VCA Masters 1-16
• Aux/Group Masters 1-24
• L-R-C/M Masters
• User Banks 1-2
The Channel Select screen normally selects the same channel on the console control surface as appears on
the touchscreen, keeping them both in sync. This can be overridden allowing a different channel to be ad-
justed on the control surface and touchscreen if Screen Follows Select has been disabled in Setup>General
(see Section12.10.2).

Link Button

The Link Button allows linking an odd and even numbered adjacent channel pair for stereo operation. After
pressing the Link button, a pop-up dialog box asks for confirmation.
Once linked, settings from the odd-numbered channel are written over those on the even-numbered chan-
nel. Dynamics processors are keyed off the maximum of both channels and reduce the gain equally to both
channels to prevent image shift. Pan controls are inversely linked so panning one channel hard left of the
stereo pair, pans the other hard right.
The touchscreen indicates the link by showing the linked channel in the space next to the LINK button. The
LINK button also illuminates when the channel has been linked.
To unlink, press the LINK button on either channel again and confirm the dialog. All channel settings remain
unchanged, but they can be adjusted separately once they are unlinked.
