Talkback Mic Input — 48v phantom powered balanced XLR female connector for the talkback section of
the console. Phantom power is always present here.
External Talkback Input — This XLR line level input provides a pass thru option for communication be-
tween two consoles. When the UMX.96 is used as a stage monitor console, this input lets the FOH console
access the monitor rig for talkback
Talkback Output — The talkback output is a line level, balanced output provided via an XLR male connec-
tor that sends the signal from the talkback mic out of the console when the Push to Talk button is pressed.
Typically this is used to communicate with the other console in a dual-console application (FOH and moni-
tors). See Section 12.9.1 for more info..
Smaart Mic Input — Connect the RTA-420 microphone (included with your UMX.96) to this input. It pro-
vides 48V phantom power for the microphone, which is calibrated to work with the Smaart software and the
UMX.96 SPL display. See section 12.6 for more info.
