Roll Off: This provides a 24 dB/octave low-pass filter at the output of the reverb DSP. This allows you to roll
off the level of the audio range above the frequency set by this control. The range is 500 Hz to 20 kHz, in
scaled steps.
Most of the factory presets have this set to 10 kHz or higher, so use it carefully to avoid reducing your vocals
and higher musical tones.
EFX EQ IN: This button turns the three-band equalizer for the reverb effect on and off. When the EQ is on,
you can drag the nodes in the EQ window and adjust the parameters of the EQ; Gain, Frequency, and Q
(Band 2 only), or touch the EDIT EQUALIZER button to gain access to the EQ controls while remaining on the
Effects tab. Alternately, you can press the EQ tab (12.2.18).

12.2.17.2 Reverb + Gate
The Reverb + Gate effect has all the same controls as the Reverb effect previously discussed, but with the ad-
dition of a Gate after the reverb section. This allows you to set the threshold for when the reverb effect drops
out of the signal path. The controls for the gate include:
Threshold: Determines the level at which the gate acts on the incoming signal. It is calibrated in decibels,
ranging from off –60 dB to –1 dB.
Hold: This determines how long the gate remains open after the input signal has fallen below, and remains be-
low, the threshold before closing. It is calibrated in milliseconds, ranging from 0 ms to 2500 ms (2.5 seconds).
Release: Determines how fast the gate closes after the hold time has expired, once the signal falls below the
threshold. It is calibrated in milliseconds, ranging from 10 ms to 2500 ms (2.5 seconds).
