EAW UMX.96 Owner's Manual
• Screen Follows Select: On or Off (default on) — When enabled, the screen follows the selected channel. If
it is disabled, the screen can view and edit a different channel than the console's Selected Channel.
• UMX Control Auto-Follow: On or Off (default on) — When a PC is attached to the mixer, the Control ap-
NYI
plication mirrors or follows the main screen. When OFF, the control application acts independently of the
main mixer's user interface allowing two users to independently control the same console at once.
• Channel Meter Select: PRE-DSP/POST-DSP (default PRE-DSP) — Allows the control surface's channel sec-
tion meters to monitor either the pre-DSP or post-DSP channel meter. This is only valid for input channels
1-96 and the eight stereo inputs. All output channels are post-DSP metering
• Aux Mode Lock (default is UNLOCKED) — This button simply locks the mixer in aux mode unless you
NYI
enter this screen and unlock it. This is useful when the mixer is always used as a monitor console.
• Master Mute Disable (default is on) — This on/off button option allows having the left, right and center
channel mute buttons disabled or enabled. The default is disabled to avoid accidental main speaker mut-
ing.
• Clip Hold — Sets the operation of the meter Clip Hold between Short (3 seconds), Long (10 seconds), and
NYI
Infinite. A clip can be cleared manually for any channel by pushing the Gain V-Pot button for the channel.
Holding CTRL while pressing this encoder will clear Clips for all channels.
• LED Brightness — Adjusts the brightness of the LEDs so you can optimize them for the current lighting
conditions.
• Units of Measurement — Imperial or Metric. Used for temperature display and delay distance calculation.
• Temperature — The console uses the temperature setting when converting distance to time in the delay
modules. The temperature setting is adjustable from 32-degrees Fahrenheit to 104-degrees Fahrenheit in
one degree increments. If the unit of measurement for the console is set to metric, the temperature is ad-
justable from 0-degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius in one degree increments. The default is 68-degrees
F (20-degrees C).
• Calibrate Faders button — This button calibrates the faders by running the motorized faders to their
NYI
limits so the processor knows where the faders are set and how to set them. To calibrate the faders, clear
the fader area of any obstructions, press the button, and stand back. The faders will calibrate for a few
seconds before returning to their previous position at which point you can use the console again.
Note: The faders are automatically calibrated when the unit is powered on. You can calibrate a single fader
by moving it to the bottom of its travel.
• Calibrate Touch Screen button — This button calibrates the touchscreen to align the touch sensitive
surface with the LCD display. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the screen by touching in specific
locations.
