Setup button

The Setup navigation button gives you access to another set of tabs for setting the console's global param-
eters. The tabs are: Operation, General, Digital, MIDI, Expansion, Admin, and Naming.
12.10.1

Operation Tab

The Operation tab sets up the global LR+Mono or LCR mode for the console as well as other global parameters.
Mono/Center Mode — LR+Mono, or LCR . There is more to this than meets the eye. Refer to Section
NYI
12.10.1.1.
Linked Console MicPre Gain Mode — These two buttons, Master and Slave, establish which mixer of a dual
NYI
console, single snake system has primary control of the mic pre gain. The Master console has control of the
mic pre gain, 48V, and pad. The Slave console can see the mic pre gain, but cannot adjust it. When the mic
pre gain is adjusted on the Master console, the digital trim on the Slave console is automatically adjusted to
compensate. For example, if the mic pre is turned up by 5 dB on the Master, the digital trim is turned down
by 5 dB on the Slave.
Slave Compensation — This button will only appear when the console is in Master Mode. It is disabled by
NYI
default. When disabled, no trim compensation will occur on the Slave console when the Master mic pre gain
is adjusted.
Input Stereo Linking (horizontal and vertical) — Stereo linking of input channels 1-48 is available in both a
NYI
horizontal odd to even number (e.g., 1 and 2) or a vertical manner (e.g., 1 and 25). This is a global operation
using two on-screen buttons. Horizontal 1-2 and vertical 1-25 agree particularly well with the connector
layout used on the rear panel.
Linking for output channels (Aux/Group, Matrix, and Internal Effects) is always done horizontally. Linking can
be done from the Link button on the touchscreen for channels with linking in both horizontal and vertical
directions. Channels supporting horizontal linking can also be linked/unlinked from the surface by holding
down both of their SELECT buttons for 3 seconds, and confirming the on-screen dialog.
