Touchscreen Interface
EAW UMX.96 Owner's Manual
Select the bank of the channel you wish to rename using the buttons at the top. Enter names by touching
either the long or short name and touching the Rename button. An on-screen keyboard appears. Type in
the name. The system is smart enough to only let you type six or four characters. The on-screen keyboard
behaves like that attached to most computers but you can use a USB keyboard connected via the console's
USB ports as well for this function.
Note: A name cannot contain the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > | ~
Keyboard Navigation
The tab key moves the cursor to the next name window alternating short, long. Successive presses move the
cursor down the screen to the end of the list.
The delete key deletes the character immediately to the left of the cursor.
The up and down arrow keys at the bottom left move the active line up and down the screen.
The left and right arrow keys moves the cursor within the word being typed.
OK accepts the entry as typed and closes the keyboard screen.
Cancel discards the current entry and closes the keyboard screen. The X button at the upper right mirrors
this function.
Naming Controls
The Reset Default to Selected Chan button resets the selected channel's name to the default (i.e., ch1 for
Channel 1).
The Reset Default to Selected Bank button resets the channel names for the entire bank to their default
names.
The Reset Default to All Banks button resets the channel names for all the banks to their default names.
The copy button copies the name in the direction of the arrow, from long to short or short to long as ap-
propriate.
