FRONT SUSPENSION AND STEERING
Handlebar Adjustment
Refer to Figure 20.
2. Loosen the handlebar clamp fasteners.
3. After adjusting the handlebar position for a vertical po-
sition, replace the handlebar clamp. Note that the upper
clamps have a different thickness at each end. When prop-
erly installed, there will be small gap between the upper
and lower clamps at the front and a wider gap at the rear.
See Figure 21.
4. Position the handlebar so the ends are an equal dis-
tance from the center.

5. Tighten the front handlebar clamp bolts first, then
tighten the rear bolts. Tighten the clamp bolts to 15 N*m
(1 32 in.-lb.).

Removal and Installation
Loose grips can cause the operator to lose
control. Always replace damaged or loose
grips before riding.
