place the caliper brake leg.

2. Remove the cable guide pins and cotter pins.
3. Note the position of the caliper leg springs (Figure
26).
4. Remove the jam nut and flange nut from the pivot bolt
(Figure 27).

6. Reverse the removal procedure to reassemble the park-
ing brake. Note the following:
a. Refer to Figure 28 for parts arrangement.
c. Adjust the parking brake as described in Chapter
Three.

every four years or when it shows signs of cracking or
damage.
Note the routing of the brake line before removal in or-
der to install it in the correct position.
After installation, bleed the brake system as described
in this chapter.
CAUTION
Cover the snowmobile with a heavy cloth or
plastic turp to protect it from accidental
brake fluid spills. Wash spilled brake fluid
off all surfaces immediately. Use soapy wa-
ter and rinse completely.
WARNING
Do not ride the snowmobile until the brakes
are operatingproperly.
BRAKE DISC
1. Remove the chaincase as described in Chapter Twelve.
2. Remove the collar (A, Figure 29).
