SYSTEM COMMUNICATION HIERARCHY

The following criteria must be satisfied to be able to perform these desired options:
Desired Operation
Load software to MFD or PFD.
Load AIRFRAME, SYSTEM, MFD1, PFD1,
and MANIFEST configuration files to the MFD
and PFD.
Load Software/Configuration files to GIAs.
Load Software/Configuration files to:
GMA
GDC
GEA
GRS (software only)
GMU (software only)
GTX
GDL
GWX

•
Ensure GIA1 and GIA2 are configured correctly.
Check wiring, connectors & pins as needed.
•
Ensure that proper software file part number and
version were loaded to LRU.
•
Ensure that LRU part number is compatible with
software version and Loader Card. Refer to
approved post-installation and/or maintenance
data.
•
Reload 'MANIFEST' configuration file to the PFD.
Criteria for Success
•
G1000 SW Loader Card must be inserted in top
slot for each display to be loaded.
•
Power only one display on at a time during
software loading.
•
G1000 SW Loader Card must be inserted in top
slot of the PFD.
•
PFD and MFD must be powered on.
•
PFD and MFD must have correct software.
•
G1000 SW Loader Card must be inserted in top
slot of the PFD.
•
G1000 system must be powered on.
•
PFD and MFD must have correct software.
•
PFD and MFD must be successfully configured
with AIRFRAME, SYSTEM, MFD1, and PFD1
configuration files.
•
G1000 must be powered on.
•
Airframe specific card loader must be inserted
into PFD top slot.
•
PFD and MFD must have correct software and
configuration settings.
•
GIA must have correct software.
•
GIA must be successfully configured with GIA1
and GIA2 configuration files.
•
Data path from GIA1 to each LRU must be
operational.
