Cause
The PFD and/or MFD
have different terrain
database versions
installed.
The PFD and/or MFD
have different obstacle
database versions
installed.
The PFD and/or MFD
have different terrain
database types installed.
The PFD and/or MFD
have different airport
terrain database types
installed.
The system has found the
PFD and/or MFD software
versions do not match.
The Aviation databases do
not match in both displays.
The system has found the
PFDs and/or MFD
software versions do not
match.
The system has detected
an incorrect software
version loaded in PFD1.
The system has detected
an incorrect software
version loaded in MFD.
The PFD master
configuration module has
failed.
Solutions
Insert two identical version
supplemental database cards in the
PFD and MFD.
No Dispatch. Reload PFD and MFD
software.
No Dispatch. Reload Aviation
database in all displays.
Load correct software version into
both displays.
Load correct software version into
the display.
Check master configuration module
connector and wiring for damage
inside the GDU connector backshell.
Replace master configuration
module, wiring harness and pins.
NOTE
New Terrain/Obstacle cards, Jeppesen
Aviation Database and other optional
features (i.e. TAWS card) will need to be
replaced if the master configuration
module is changed (see note above).
The System ID number will change to a
new number when installing a new
master config module. The old Terrain
and other cards will no longer work as
they will remain locked to the old System
ID number.
