Head Loading Configuration
Head loading configuration is done when you set the rotation of the spindle either to stop
its rotation or allow it to continue when the head moves to its initial track number to load or
unload. There are two types of head loading namely dynamic and static loading. Dynamic
loading is when the rotation of the spindle is continuous during loading and unloading
operation.While Static loading is when the rotation of the spindle stops during both loading
and unloading of the head, thus restarting the rotation. Parameter setting can be done by the
"hpe5022_headLoadConfig" programming function.
The advanced head loading configuration is also available. This function allows you to set
the spindle rotation speed and head load position where the head is loaded or unloaded.
Parameters such as load rpm, load radius, load skew, initial radius, initial skew, unload
rpm, unload radius and unload skew are specified in this function before proceeding to any
measurements. Parameter setting can be done by the "hpe5022_headLoadConfigEx"
programming function.

Drive Control

Drive control can be done after you have finished all drive settings (i.e, the drive is on, the
spindle is rotating and the head is loaded). At this point you can control the track offset
operation. Also, it is possible to set the write offset and read offset even if the drive is on.
