PM PROCEDURES
Development unit
Around the drum
- Replace PPC charge wire
- Replace charge corona wire
- Replace grid
- Replace cleaning brush
Transfer belt unit
- Replace lubricant bar
- Replace lubricant brush
1. Wipe the development unit toner catch pan with a dry cloth or
clean with vacuum.
2. Replace developers (K, C, M, and Y) if necessary.
3. Clean the entire development unit (including covers and gears).
4. Visually check the side seal and entrance seal (replace seals if
cracks, warps, or breakages are found).
5. Clean the color toner set sensor with a blower brush, then wipe
it with a dry cloth (be sure to clean it every visit).
6. Clean the toner end sensor with a blower brush, then wipe it
with a dry cloth.
7. Wipe the bias terminal with a dry cloth (should be free of oil or
foreign matter).
8. Wipe the bias terminal on the copier side and seal the
development bias with a dry cloth (should be free of oil or
foreign matters).

1. Clean the PPC and PPC wire with a dry cloth.
2. Replace the cleaning blade, then apply setting
powder on the drum surface.
3. Replace the lubricant bar.
4. Clean the entire cleaning unit and entrance mylar.
5. Clean the entire drum unit (including QL and
potential sensor) with a dry cloth.
6. Clean the entire drawer unit (including the ID
sensor and carrier catcher) with a dry cloth.
7. Clean the charge corona unit casing with a dry
cloth (be sure to clean it every visit).
8. Wipe the charge corona wire first with a damp
cloth and then with dry cloth. (be sure to clean it
every visit).
9. Wipe the grid with a damp cloth and then with a
dry cloth (be sure to clean it every visit).
10. Replace the dust filter (for charge corona fan).
1. Clean the belt cleaning unit (toner catch pan and
entrance seal) with a dry cloth or vacuum
cleaner.
2. Replace the belt cleaning blade.
3. Check the belt lubricant bar (replace if cracked or
worn).
4. Check the lubricant brush (clean with a vacuum
cleaner if it is too dirty).
5. Clean the transfer belt unit inner rollers
with a dry cloth.
6. Replace the transfer belt then, apply setting
powder.
