18-10. Paper Charge Neutralization
• A Charge Neutralizing Cloth is used to neutralize any residual charge left on the paper
which has undergone the 2nd image transfer stage.
• The Charge Neutralizing Cloth is floated under conditions of high temperature and high
humidity to prevent image transfer failure from occurring due to damp paper.
High temperature/humidity condition,
1-sided printing, first cycle of 2-sided
printing
In conditions other than above
2nd Image Transfer

• The Paper Separator Fingers separate paper from the Transfer Belt.
Transfer Belt
Turns OFF RY1 to float the cloth.
Connected to GND from RY1 via HV2.
