18. IMAGE TRANSFER SECTION

1. 1st Image Transfer
• In the 1st image transfer stage, image transfer current from High Voltage Unit 2 is
applied to the 1st Image Transfer Roller for each color to transfer the toner images pro-
duced by the Imaging Units onto the Transfer Belt, one image on top of another in the
order of Y, M, C, and Bk.
2. 2nd Image Transfer
• In the 2nd image transfer stage, the image transfer current from High Voltage Unit 2 is
applied to the 2nd Image Transfer Roller to transfer the images in four colors of toner,
which have been transferred to the surface of the Transfer Belt one on top of another, all
at once to the paper.
